MonaLisa Touch

MonaLisa Touch is an innovative CO2 laser that can stimulate the vaginal wall once it shows signs of atrophy.* By using carbon-dioxide based technology, the laser stimulates the outer and inner layer of tissue.* By creating small punctures in the skin, MonaLisa Touch is able to stimulate the tissue using energy, basically waking up the cells and promoting the production of elastin and collagen.*

What do collagen and elastin do?

Collagen hydrates the human body and elastin gives our skin its tightness. Therefore, when the body stops producing collagen and elastin, the skin begins to lose its elasticity and hydration, causing it to loosen and dry up. When this happens, most commonly as a result of menopause, genitourinary syndrome of menopause can occur (GSM).

What should you expect from the MonaLisa Touch procedure?

The procedure itself only takes a few minutes. At the beginning of the procedure, a ring will be inserted into the vagina to widen the canal and allow the laser to enter. Once in place, the laser will use energy to stimulate the vaginal wall. At least a few treatments are recommended for optimum results.*

Is the MonaLisa Touch procedure painful?

Patients report little to no discomfort during the MonaLisa Touch procedure.* If anything, they report feeling small vibrations as the laser emits the energy and stimulates the collagen and elastin within the vaginal wall.*
